Central Florida

Gainesville and Ocala are among many Florida communities that are above several ancient geological formations with low levels of Uranium U238 and Radium R226, both of which are mothers of Radon Rn222. SEE: Hawthorne Group  and Bone Valley Formation As a result, it is not uncommon that radon is found in homes in Central  Florida. Fortunately, excellent methods of controlling radon levels have been developed and may result in indoor air quality that is even much better than the average indoor air quality in  homes throughout the USA.
